Up The Rank, LLC (“Up The Rank,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides search engine optimization and digital marketing services. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to uptherank.com and to the services we provide to our clients.
Information we collect
Information you give us directly. When you submit a form on our website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message field. When you call, email, or text us, we keep the contents of that correspondence.
Mobile number and text messaging. If you opt in to our text message program, we collect and store your mobile number and your record of consent.
Client service information. To perform SEO work for a client, we are typically given access to that client’s website, hosting, domain registrar, analytics, and Google Business Profile. We treat those credentials and the data behind them as confidential and use them only to perform the work.
Billing information. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation and account details but do not store full payment card numbers.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records standard log data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring page — and uses cookies necessary for the site to function.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the services you asked for
- To perform, report on, and support SEO and marketing work
- To send service messages such as scheduling, project updates, reports, and billing notices
- To send occasional information about our services, where you have agreed to receive it
- To maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep records we are required to keep
Text messaging and your mobile information
Mobile information and consent to receive text messages will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile numbers are shared only with the communications providers that deliver our messages, and only for that purpose. We do not sell mobile numbers, and we do not rent or trade them.
You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by emailing sales@uptherank.com. Full details are in our SMS Terms of Service.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who work on our behalf — website hosting, email, telephone and messaging, SEO and analytics tools, and payment processing. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
- Delivery partners. Some client work is produced with the help of our platform partner. Where that happens, the partner receives only what is needed to build and publish the work.
- When the law requires it — to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal obligation, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- A business transfer — if Up The Rank is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction. You would be notified.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies needed for basic operation, such as remembering form state and keeping logged-in users signed in. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request as part of serving the font. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and client records for as long as needed to provide services and to meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations. If you opt out of text messages, we keep a record of your opt-out indefinitely — this is how we make sure we do not message you again. If you would like your other information deleted, contact us and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including access controls on client credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any message, and from text messages by replying STOP.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.
Children
Our services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the date at the top will be revised.
